7 powerful keys to being a facilitator of change in yourself, others and the planet

ree

As you step more and more into your true, authentic self, you'll no doubt discover you start having a marked affect on your environment. People might start coming to you for a friendly, empathic ear or maybe you are able to put your finger on the core issue very easily.

So let's get one thing out of the way from the beginning - you are not doing anything. I always say to people when I introduce myself as a spiritual facilitator, it's something that just happens when I'm being myself - I don't have to effort to do anything. So, we can say that YOU are not a facilitator, it is rather something that happens as a natural unraveling of energy in alignment with the universal torus. The more aligned we are with that, the more facilitation happens.

So, how can you cultivate the ground for this to happen in a powerful and profound way? Here are 7 powerful keys to facilitating change:

  1. Realise that you're only ever truly facilitating yourself - First and foremost, it's about unleashing authentic ways of being in yourself. Notice where distortions may creep in due to needing something or being attached to it going a certain way, otherwise you can subtle manipulate them. Look to refine the way you express to reflect the accuracy of what you're perceiving.

  2. It's always about the energy - It's often not what they say specifically, but the energy behind it that they're communicating. What do you read between their words? What words are spiking in the field? Can you feel anything in the chakras when you empathically tune into them?

  3. Keep working on yourself - This is so important. The more free we are of our own distortions, the more powerful our facilitation will be. Keep bringing awareness to every situation. Spend plety of time in mediation and processing of core wounds.

  4. Less advice, more questions - People don't want to be told their truth. Who are you to know anyway? If asked for advice you can always say what has worked for you in their situation. Questions, however, are extremely powerful as they can get people contemplating the deeper truth behind their story. They are less invasive and more exploratory.

  5. Reflect their energy back to them - Another very powerful tool is reflecting their energy. You could say, "it seems like this is making you ...", or "what I'm hearing behind your words is this". This is a great confirmation for them and makes them feel seen.

  6. Sometimes the hard truth is the most loving thing - I observe that sometimes the soft, empathic approach only takes you so far and at some point they don't go deeper, rather dancing around the issue. So, sometimes it's good to shake things up a bit, as long as it comes from an authentically loving place, which has their best interest at heart. Remember, you can only ever reflect a perspective and invite them to see how they feel about it.

  7. Notice when they sabotage themselves - Oftentimes, when people don't want to go deeper, they have mechanisms to protect themselves. This can look like staying in the mind and dancing from subject to subject, or being too attached to the story itself. Or else they want to stay the victim and not take responsibility for their own healing. If they don't want to go deeper then so be it. However, if you sense that they do, but are still stuck in these patterns, gently pointing it out to them can work wonders.

Of course it doesn't end there. When we keep working through our identifications and attachments to the physical, mental and emotional planes, we ever expand our pipe or awareness. At some point this means we will also start sensing beings which either don't have physical form or have ones which can't talk in the same way as us, like trees. We'll also start getting a sense of the energies in particular places, which often have their own blockages, or have been intentionally blocked. At this point, we can employ many of the points in the previous list. It's also going to be tremendously helpful to start seeing life more metaphorically, noticing patterns from a broader perspective, seeing signs and synchronicity, noticing where the flow of soul is taking you now. This is a whole topic in itself, which I'll write about at some point too.

Warm wishes,
